Welcome!
Welcome to my new blog. Starting shortly, I'll be posting audio slideshows documenting the lives of the homeless in Chicago, Illinois. I welcome your feedback and I hope you enjoy these stories!
“If an affluent, highly educated nation, which has the technological proficiency to achieve manned space flights and a sense of manifest destiny sufficient to permit it to involve enormous qualities of its resources and manpower in the affairs of nations on the other side of the globe, cannot or will not eradicate the poverty and slums in its midst, then it not only will have no future, it does not deserve one.”
Robert Schroeder currently works as a production assistant with Wisconsin Public Radio, producing the daily news program "Conversations with Kathleen Dunn." Schroeder holds a journalism degree from Ithaca College, where he helped found and produce WICB Radio's "ICB Sunday" news program and anchored daily newscasts.
