Patricia's Story
Patricia Greene, age 48, isn't homeless. Yet. Because of her infrequent seizures, she's worried she might lose another job and end up on Chicago's streets.
“If an affluent, highly educated nation, which has the technological proficiency to achieve manned space flights and a sense of manifest destiny sufficient to permit it to involve enormous qualities of its resources and manpower in the affairs of nations on the other side of the globe, cannot or will not eradicate the poverty and slums in its midst, then it not only will have no future, it does not deserve one.”
Robert Schroeder currently works as a production assistant with Wisconsin Public Radio, producing the daily news program "Conversations with Kathleen Dunn." Schroeder holds a journalism degree from Ithaca College, where he helped found and produce WICB Radio's "ICB Sunday" news program and anchored daily newscasts.
